Indonesia is the biggest archipelago country in the world. Stretching from Sabang to Merauke, Indonesia has 17,499 islands with a total area of around 7.81 million km2. Of the total area, almost 3/4 of Indonesia's territory is ocean. With such a large area, Indonesia is one of the largest maritime countries in the world. Unfortunately, there are still various problems that haunt the seas of Indonesia.

Sebumi Melaut are here to make people aware, especially young people, to care more about the sea and take real action by visiting it directly. In addition, the participants are also expected to be able to understand the connection between marine ecosystems and life in the city, understand its history, participate in protecting and conserving the sea, and be able to apply the principle of minimal waste not only when visiting tourist attractions, but also making it a lifestyle for the sake of a better future for the earth.
